Fried Chicken Slices and Chestnut Rice Recipe

Ingredients

( 5 Persons )

5 chicken breast meat
1 tablespoon of İçim Butter
3 teaspoons fresh thyme

for rice
30 gr İçim Butter
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
5 celery stalks, sliced
1 large red pepper, seeded and sliced
200 g pilaf rice
500 ml chicken broth
200 g chestnuts
1 tablespoon parsley
Olive oil for frying

Preparation

Wash the chicken thoroughly with plenty of water and dry it completely.

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Spread İçim Butter on the chicken with thyme and season with salt and pepper. Sear the chicken on both sides in a casserole dish over high heat until brown. Remove from the stove and keep aside.

Start preparing the rice. Melt the butter, add garlic, onion, celery and pepper and fry for 10 minutes. Add the washed rice and mix quickly for about 3 minutes. Add thyme, 1 teaspoon of salt and plenty of black pepper. Pour 400 ml of chicken broth over it and let it boil. Cook like this for 10 minutes. Place the chicken into the rice. Cook with the lid closed for another 25 minutes. When the rice absorbs all the water, remove it from the stove and leave it to rest in the closed oven for 10 minutes.

Boil the chestnuts and peel them. Start cooking with 100 ml of chicken broth. When the water is completely absorbed, throw the chestnuts into the rice along with the parsley. Season with salt and pepper as you wish.

You can serve it by sprinkling mint on it.
