Practical Pita Recipe with Cheese

Ingredients

(For 6 People)

For the dough
600 g flour
250 ml of warm water
1 tablespoon dry yeast
20 gr Butter.
1 tablespoon salt
1 tsp sugar
For the mortar
200 gr İçim Feta Cheese
20g parsley, finely chopped
1 onion
1-2 green peppers
1-2 teaspoons chili flakes

Preparation

Add yeast and sugar to warm water, mix well with a spoon. When it melts, add İçim Butter on it. Melt the fat as well, stirring well. Sift the flour and add it. Add the salt and start kneading. After kneading and thickening for a long time, cover and let it rest for at least 2 hours.

Crush the İçim Feta Cheese in a bowl. Add finely chopped parsley, pepper, grated onion and mix. Season with salt and spices.

Tear off pieces the size of golf balls from the fermented dough and roll them with your hands. Roll it out with a rolling pin on a flat surface that you have floured. Shape a boat with your hands. Line the baking sheet with baking paper. Sprinkle with a little flour and place the rolled dough on the tray.

Put the White Cheese mortar on them and fold the edges in the shape of a boat. Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for 8 minutes. Serve hot.
