Tarte Tatin (French style apple tart) Recipe

Ingredients

(For 6 People)

For the tart dough

100 gr İçim Butter
70 g granulated sugar
3 eggs
200 g flour

For the filling

5 green apples
100 gr İçim Butter
150 g granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
120 ml İçim Chef Cream, whipped

Preparation

1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees.
2. For the tart dough, quickly beat the butter and sugar for a long time.
3. Add the egg yolks to the mixture and continue mixing.
4. Sift the flour and feed it into the mixture with your hands.
5. Wrap the dough in cling film and leave it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
6. Peel the apples and slice them into large half rings.
7. Melt the butter and sugar in the pan, arrange the apples neatly on top of them as they start to caramelize, and sprinkle cinnamon on them. Close the lid of the pan.
8. Cook the apples over medium heat for 5 minutes, softening them. Remove from heat and let rest.
9. Take the tart dough out of the fridge and roll it out thinly.
10. Cut a round to cover the pan with the apples.
11. Place the cut round neatly on top of the apples and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the dough turns golden brown.
12. Remove from the oven and allow to warm at room temperature for 1 hour.
13. Turn the cooled apple tart upside down on a plate and serve it with whipped İçim Chef Cream on the side. Enjoy your meal.
