Apple and Orange Peel Tart

Ingredients (for 8 persons)

  • 5 apples
  • 1 tea glass powdered sugar
  • ½ cup orange peel, grated
  • 200 ml İçim Chief Cream
  • ½ vanilla pod, cut lengthwise
  • 1 tablespoon of İçim Butter

For the tart dough;

  • 1.5 cups flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 egg, beaten

For service

500 ml Vanilla Ice Cream

To prepare the tart dough, mix the flour, salt and sugar in a bowl. Add margarine and İçim Butter and knead with your fingers. Add the beaten egg and form the dough. If the dough is not thick enough, add a little more egg and mix. Do not knead too much so that your dough is not hard. Roll the dough into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 4 mm, large enough to overhang the sides of your mold. Carefully lift the dough and place it in the mold. Press down on the sides so that the edges fit neatly. To prevent the tart from shrinking, line it with greaseproof paper and fill it with dried beans or rice. Bake for 20 minutes. Then remove the beans with the greaseproof paper and cook for another 4 minutes until golden brown. Slice the apples and sauté them in a pan with half a tea glass of powdered sugar and orange peels in 1 teaspoon of İçim Butter. Whisk the vanilla pod seeds and İçim Şef Krema. Then mix it with the sautéed apples. Pour this mixture into the tart. Return to the oven and bake for another 30 minutes. When your tart is done, remove it from the oven. Allow to cool for 30 minutes before unmolding. After making sure that the tart is not sticking to the sides, remove it from the mold. You can serve your tart with vanilla ice cream after slicing.
