Rose Pastry Recipe with İçim Uf Feta Cheese


(For 6 People)

For the dough

2.5 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 glass of water
1 tea glass of sifted flour

For Soaking the Dough

2 eggs
1 tea glass of water
100 gr İçim Butter

For the filling

500 g minced meat
1 dry onion
3 potatoes
250 gr İçim Strained White Cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper


1. Prepare a soft dough by mixing flour, water and salt. Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
2. For the filling, grate the onion and turn it on the stove for 5 minutes together with the minced meat.
3. Then put the minced meat mixture with onions in a bowl and add the grated potatoes, İçim Cottage White Cheese, salt and pepper.
4. Then divide the dough kept in the refrigerator into 2 equal parts.
5. Roll out the dough into a large circle with the help of a rolling pin, thinning it into phyllo dough and flouring it with lightly sifted flour.
6. Spread the ingredients you prepared with eggs, water and melted İçim Butter on it so that the phyllo dough is wet all over.
7. Place the minced meat and potato filling lengthwise on both sides of the dough and roll the dough evenly from both ends to the middle. Cut these 2 equal rolls, prepared lengthwise, in half.
8. Place on a round, greased tray, rolling them in the shape of a rose from the inside to the edges.
9. Spread the remaining İçim Butter and egg mortar on the pastry you prepared again.
10. Bake in an oven heated to 175 degrees for 40 minutes until golden brown. Bon appetit.
